From its first awards at the 1896 World’s Fair to the DLG Gold Medal in 2019 and Gold Medal in the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Premium quality and depth of flavor have been ensured for over 150 years through the unchanged recipe and loving craftsmanship.

Natural ingredients and the finest wheat brandy form the basis of this premium liqueur aged in oak barrels.

A VENERABLE HISTORY

The delicious drink with its sustainable effect on body and soul was first created in the 16th century by Franciscan monks at the Frauenberg Monastery in Fulda (Germany). The monks created a special recipe based on a complex mixture of local herbs complemented with spices from the Far East.

Franz Carl Aha acquired the recipe and production rights in 1843. The fifth generation of the Aha family is now delivering AHA EXCELSIOR.
